Ifthechildrestraint  hasatoptether,followthe
childrestraint manufacturer's instructions regarding
theuseofthetoptether.SeeLowerAnchorsand
TethersforChildren  (LATCH)on page 2‑45 for
moreinformation.
Pushandpullthechildrestraint   indifferent
directions tobesureitissecure.
Toremovethechildrestraint,   unbuckle thevehicle
safetybeltandletitreturntothestowedposition.
Ifthetoptetherisattached   toatoptetheranchor,
disconnect it.
SecuringaChildRestraintinthe
CenterFrontSeatPosition

Totightenthebelt,pushdownonthechild
restraint, pulltheshoulder portionofthebeltto
tightenthelapportionofthebeltandfeedthe
shoulder beltbackintotheretractor.When
installing aforward-facing childrestraint, itmaybe
helpfultouseyourkneetopushdownonthechild
restraint asyoutightenthebelt.
{WARNING:
Achildinachildrestraint   inthecenterfrontseat
canbebadlyinjuredorkilledbythefrontal
airbagsiftheyinflate.  Neversecureachild
restraint inthecenterfrontseat.Itisalways
bettertosecureachildrestraint   inarearseat.
Donotusechildrestraints   inthecenterfrontseat
position.
