Thispartisonlyforthelapbelt.Tolearnhowtoweara
lap-shoulder belt,seeLap-Shoulder Beltonpage2‑26.
Thevehiclemayhaveacenterseatingposition.    When
yousitinthecenterfrontseatingposition,    youhavea
lapsafetybelt,whichhasnoretractor.
Tomakethebeltshorter,pullitsfreeendasshownuntil
thebeltissnug.
Ifthebeltisnotlongenough,seeSafetyBeltExtender
on page 2‑33.
Makesurethereleasebuttononthebuckleis
positioned soyouwouldbeabletounbucklethesafety
beltquicklyifnecessary.
Tomakethebeltlonger,tiltthelatchplateandpullit
alongthebelt.
Ifyoufindthatthelatchplatewillnotgofullyintothe
buckle,seeifyouareusingthecorrectbuckle.Besure
thatthelatchplateclickswheninserted    intothebuckle.
Buckle,position andreleaseitthesamewayasthelap
partofalap-shoulder  belt.
