Thecontroller receives inputfromthesystemto
determine theproperride.Ifthecontroller detectsa
problemwithinthesystem,theDriverInformation
Center(DIC)displays aSERVICESUSPENSION SYS
message.SeeDICWarningsandMessages on
page 4‑66 formoreinformation. Ifthismessage
appears, havethevehicleservicedatyourdealer.
TCSautomatically comesonwhenever thevehicle
isstarted. Tolimitwheelspin,especially inslippery
roadconditions, alwaysleavethesystemturnedon.
TCScanbeturnedoffifneeded.
Thesystemcanbeturnedonoroffatanytimeby
pressing theTCSbutton. TheDICwilldisplay
TRACTIONCONTROLOFFwhenthebuttonis
pressed, andpartofthetraction controlsystemis
disabled. Thevehiclewillstillhavebrake-traction
control, butwillnotbeabletousetheenginespeed
management system.Systemnoisesmaybeheardas
aresultofthebrake-traction controlworking. Ifthe
controller detectsexcessive wheelspininthismode,
theTCS/StabiliTrak lightmayblink.
ElectronicallyControlledAirRide
Suspension
Professional VehiclesmayhaveElectronically
Controlled AirSuspension. Theairridecontroller
receives inputfromthesystemtodetermine theproper
ride.Ifthecontroller detectsaproblemwiththesystem,
theDICwilldisplayaSERVICESUSPENSION SYS
message.Ifthismessageappears, havethevehicle
serviced atyourdealer.
Itisrecommended toleavethesystemonfornormal
drivingconditions, butitmaybenecessary toturnthe
systemoffifthevehicleisstuckinsand,mud,iceor
snow,andyouwanttorock thevehicletoattemptto
