If the child sleep s or tries to get ou t of the
child seat, pull shou lder out fully to put the
retractor into au tom atic lock mod e. Allow
belts to tighten snu gly against the child ’s
shou lders. See Figu re 10.
Au tom atic lock mod e keep s a sleep ing child in
position and prevents the child from getting ou t
of the seat while the vehicle is in motion. Old er
child ren who do not fall asleep in the child seat
may be secu red with the retractor in the
emergency locking mod e. The belts will lock
au tom atically during a collison or hard braking.
