Engin e Coolan t Tem peratu re Gauge
This gau ge ind icates the tem peratu re of the
engine coolant, not the coolant level. If the
coolant is not at its prop er level or mixtu re, the
gau ge ind ication will not be accu rate.
The pointer moves from C (Cold ) into the
norm al band as you r vehicle warm s up. Und er
most driving cond itions, the pointer shou ld stay
in the norm al band . If you are driving in heavy
traffic or uphill in hot weather, the pointer may
reach to the top of the norm al band .
Und er any circu mstances, if the pointer moves
past the upper limit of the norm al band , the
engine is overheating and may resu lt in engine
dam age.
