The lap belt retractor will allow the occupant
freed om of movem ent, locking tight only on
hard braking, hard cornering or impacts of
ap proxim ately 5 mph (8 km / h) or more. The
retractor can be mad e to lock by jerking on the
belt.
Front passenger safety belts with dual locking
mod e retractors can also be locked to tightly
secu re a child safety seat.
