To set the clock, sim ultaneou sly press the
“CLOCK” bu tton and either the bottom (b) half
of the “SEEK” bu tton to set hou rs, or the top
(a) half of the “SEEK” bu tton to set minu tes.
NOTE: The clock can be set with the rad io
and/or ign ition on or off.
Usin g the Con trols on Your New Com pact
Disc Player
Your new Ford Com pact Disc Player is cap able
of playing 12 cm or 8 cm discs, withou t an
ad ap ter. The Player operates when the pow er is
on and a disc is inserted (lab el sid e up). Hand le
the disc by its edge only. (Be sure to read and
follow all of the care and cleaning instru ctions
und er How To Take Care of and Clean Your CD
Player and Discs.)
NOTE: If after you insert a disc, the disc is
ejected and “ERRO R” begin s scrollin g
in the disp lay, rem ove the disc and
rein sert it righ t sid e up (lab el sid e up).
The digital display on you r CD player will
either show the track (selection) nu mber or the
elap sed tim e. (The display mod e can be selected
by pressing the “CLOCK” bu tton.) Ind icators for
play (a), stop (X) and com pression on (“C”)
are also in the display. (These featu res are
described later.)
Once a disc is inserted , operation of the CD
player will overrid e that of the rad io.
NOTE: The volu me, bass, treb le, balan ce and
fad er controls on the rad io are also
used with the CD player. Refer to
earlier operatin g instru ction s on these
controls.
