Rear Lap and Shoulder Belts
Your vehicle is equ ipped with rear seat safety
belts containing a cinch tongu e, and the rear
ou tboard seat safety belts will have the
follow ing label:

Before you fasten a com bination lap and
shou lder belt having a cinch tongu e, you may
have to lengthen the lap belt portion of it. To
lengthen the lap belt, pull som e webbing out of
the retractor. While hold ing the webbing below
the tongu e, grasp the tip (metal portion) of the
tongu e parallel to the webbing and slid e the
tongu e upward .
NOTE: If you grasp the ton gue by the ton gue
cover to len gth en the belt, the ton gue
cover will grab the webbing, making it
difficu lt to slid e.
