The veh icle should not be driven unless
the doors are fully closed and the
shoulder belts are in the lock ed position .

Unbu ckle the shou lder belt by pressing the
red emergency release bu tton on the bu ckle.
Then, reinsert the shou lder belt tongu e into
the bu ckle until you hear a snap and feel the
latch engage.

Turn the key to the ON position.
If the shou lder belt doesn’t move across you ,
tu rn the ignition switch to the LOCK
position and then release the shou lder belt
from the bu ckle.

Remove the access cap located in the low er
portion of the trim panel, rearw ard of the
front door opening.
Pu ll the electrical wiring harness out throu gh
the access hole and disconnect the connector.
The electrical wiring harness is located near
the internal hex nu t. To disconnect the
connector, pull the left and right sid es ap art.
You may have to loosen the tap e to
disconnect the electrical connector.

Then, insert the emergency hand le into the
hex nu t insid e the access hole. The
emergency hand le is stored in the ow ner
portfolio in the glove com partm ent.
