Insert the belt tongu e into the bu ckle for that
seating position until you hear and feel the
latch engage. See Figu re 3. Make sure tongu e
is latched secu rely to bu ckle by pulling on
tongu e.

Grasp the shou lder portion of the belt and
pull dow nw ard until all of the belt is
extracted and a click is heard . At this tim e,
the retractor is in the au tom atic locking
mod e (child seat restraint mod e). See
Figu re 4.
NOTE: The dual-lock ing mode retractor must
be in the autom atic lock ing mode to
prop erly restrain a child .
