Com pact Disc Rad io
The Com pact Disc Rad io combines the Electronic
Stereo Rad io with the Ford Com pact Disc Player.
Usin g the Con trols on Your New Rad io/CD
Player
Most of the featu res of this unit work for both
rad io and CD operation. Also, som e of the knobs
and bu ttons control several different functions,
so be sure to read all of the operating
instru ctions carefu lly.
How to turn the ra dio on and off
Press the “POWER” bu tton to tu rn the rad io on.
Press it again to tu rn it off.
How to adjust the volume
Press the +/ Ҁ sid e of the “VOL” bu tton to
increase/ decrease the volu me. Bars illuminate in
the disp lay to show the relative volu me level.
NOTE: If the volu me level is set above a
certain listen ing level when the
ign ition switch is turned off, when the
ign ition switch is turned back on, the
volu me will come back to a “nominal”
listen ing level. However, if the rad io
power is turned off, the volu me will
rem ain in the position it was set at
when rad io power was switch ed off.
Select ing the AM or FM frequency ba nd
Pu sh the “AM/ FM” bu tton to select the desired
frequ ency band . When in the rad io mod e,
pushing the bu tton more than once will alternate
betw een AM, FM1 and FM2. These functions are
used with the station memory bu ttons described
und er How to tune radio stations.
