Using the “SCAN” funct ion
Press the “SCAN / TUN E” bu tton to enter the
scan mod e. Once in the scan mod e, press the top
(
a) or bottom (b) half of the “SEEK” bu tton to
scan forw ard or reverse, resp ectively. The CD
player will begin scanning the disc, stop ping on
each listenable track for ap proxim ately eight
second s. This continu es until you press the
“SCAN / TUN E” bu tton a second tim e. While in
the scan mod e, the display show s the current
sam pled track nu mber.

❑Com pression
The com pression featu re will bring soft and
lou d passages closer together for a more
consistent listening level.
To tu rn the com pression on, press the
“COMP” bu tton. When on, the com pression
ind icator (“C”) will ap pear in the display.
Press the bu tton again to tu rn off.
❑Au tom atic Disc Storage
If the disc is ejected from the CD player bu t
is not rem oved from the disc opening within
ap proxim ately 10 second s, the player will
au tom atically reload the disc for storage,
unless the disc is au tom atically ejected due to
a “focu s error” (disc inserted upsid e dow n).
In this case, the disc will not be au tom atically
reload ed.
