This light com es on when you tu rn the ignition
key to ON if the liftgate is not fully closed .

Chime for Head lam ps On
This chim e sou nd s if the driver or any passenger
door is open when the parking lam ps or
head lam ps are on. The chim e sou nd s until you
close the door, tu rn off the lam ps or tu rn the
ignition to the ON position.
Air Bag Read iness Ligh t
A problem with the system is ind icated by one
or more of the follow ing: the read iness light will
either flash or stay lit, or it will not light, or a
grou p of five beep s will be heard .
RWARN ING
If any of these things happen, even
interm itten tly, have the air bag system
serviced at you r Ford or Lincoln -Mercu ry
dealer immediately.
This light illuminates for ap proxim ately six
second s when the ignition is tu rned to the ON
position. If the light fails to illuminate, continu es
to flash, or rem ains on, have the system serviced
as soon as possible.
