the function selector lever is set to the MAX
A/ C position.
The function selector lever controls how the air
is circu lated .

RECIRC position (heating system only) or
MAX A/ C (heating and air cond itioning
system only) circu lates the air from insid e the
vehicle throu gh the instru ment panel vents.
This position prevents ou tsid e air from
entering the vehicle.

PAN EL position directs air throu gh the
instru ment panel registers.
❑
PN L/ FLR position directs air throu gh both
the instru ment panel registers.
❑
FLOOR position directs air mainly throu gh
the floor ducts.
❑
FLR/ DEF position directs air throu gh both
the floor ducts and the wind shield defroster
ou tlets.
❑
V (Defrost) position directs air to the
wind shield throu gh the defroster outlets.
