Turn the emergency hand le to move the
bu ckle rearw ard until you hear a click. To
move the driver’s bu ckle, tu rn the hand le
clockw ise. To move the passenger’s bu ckle,
tu rn the hand le counterclockw ise.
10.
Reinsert the shou lder belt tongu e into the
bu ckle.
RWARN ING
If it is necessary to use the emergen cy
handle to put the shoulder belt in
position , have the system serviced by a
qualified tech nician as soon as possib le.

You shou ld alw ays wear the lap belt in ad dition
to the shou lder belt.

The lap belts should fit snugly and as low
as possib le arou nd the hips, not arou nd
the waist.

Fron t and rear seat occupants, including
pregn ant women, should wear both lap
and shoulder belts for optim um protection
in a collision .
To fasten the lap belt: Pu ll the belt out of the
retractor and bring it across you r lap . Insert the
tongu e into the bu ckle until it snap s and locks in
place.
