About the Warran ties
Your vehicle is covered by three typ es of
warranties: Basic Veh icle Warran ty, Exten ded
Warran ties on certain parts, and Emission s
Warran ties .
Read you r Warranty Information Booklet carefu lly
to find ou t abou t you r vehicle’s warranties and
you r basic rights and resp onsibilities.
If you lose you r Warranty Information Booklet, you
can get a new one free of charge. Contact any
Ford or Lincoln-Mercu ry dealer, or refer to the
ad dresses and phone nu mbers on the first page
of this ow ner gu ide.
Your vehicle is equ ipped with an Electronic
Pow ertrain Control Mod ule that limits engine
and / or vehicle speed s with a cut-ou t mod e to
prom ote durability.
Buyin g a Ford Exten ded Service Plan
If you bou ght you r vehicle in the U.S., you can
bu y a Ford Extend ed Service Plan for you r
vehicle. This optional contract provid es service
protection for a longer period of tim e than the
basic warranty that com es with you r vehicle.
You do not have to bu y this option when you
bu y you r vehicle. How ever, you r option to
purchase the Ford Extend ed Service Plan ru ns
ou t after 18 months or 18,000 miles. See you r

Service Plan.
If you purchased a Canad ian vehicle and did not
take ad vantage of the Ford Extend ed Service
Plan at the tim e of purchase, you may still be
