If you are taking the medication “Antabu se” or
other form s of disu lfiram for the treatm ent of
alcoholism , vap or or skin contact with a
gasoline-m ethanol blend may cau se the sam e
kind of ad verse reaction as drinking an alcoholic
beverage. In sensitive ind ivid uals, seriou s
personal inju ry or sickness could resu lt. Consu lt
a physician prom ptly if you exp erience an
ad verse reaction.
Running Out of Fuel
NOTE: Avoid running out of fuel becau se this
situ ation may have an adverse effect on
modern powertrain components.
If you r vehicle ru ns ou t of fuel, try to stop on
level grou nd aw ay from traffic. The engine may
be restarted by ad ding at least one (1) gallon
(four liters) of fuel to the fuel tank. If the vehicle
is not level, up to three (3) gallons (12 liters) of
fuel may be requ ired to start the engine.
You may need to crank the engine several tim es
before the fuel system starts to pump fuel from
the tank to the engine.
RWARN ING
Never pour fuel in the throttle body or
attem pt to start the engin e with the air
clean er rem oved . Doin g so could resu lt in
fire and person al injury.
Fuel Economy
Fuel econom y is an estim ate of the efficiency of
you r vehicle and can be calcu lated as Miles Per
Gallon (MPG) or Liters Per 100 Kilom eters
(L/ 100K). Do not calcu late the fuel econom y
during you r vehicle’s break-in period . This
would not be an accu rate estim ate of how much
fuel you r vehicle will norm ally use.
