Und er certain cond itions, the Check Engine
Warning Light may com e on if the fuel cap is
not prop erly installed . If the Check Engine
Warning Light com es on and you suspect that
the fuel cap is not prop erly installed , pull off the
road as soon as it is safely possible and tu rn off
the engine. Remove and rep lace the fuel cap ,
making sure it is prop erly seated .
After com pleting three (3) consecu tive warm up
cycles and on the fourth engine start up, the
Check Engine Warning light shou ld tu rn off. If
the light does not go off after the fou rth engine
restart, have you r vehicle serviced by you r
dealer or a qu alified technician.
Check Coolan t Ligh t
This light ind icates that the level of the engine
coolant is low and that you shou ld ad d more
coolant. This light com es on when you tu rn the
ignition key to START and rem ains on for a few
second s after the engine starts, then norm ally
goes ou t. See Engine coolant in the Ind ex.
The check coolan t ligh t
If the CH ECK COOLAN T warning light stays
on, tu rn the ignition key to OFF and fill the
recovery bottle to the FULL HOT mark. If the
CH ECK COOLAN T warning light com es on and
stays on after the recovery bottle has been filled ,
have you r vehicle serviced as soon as possible.
