Working wit h the engine on:
1.
Set the parking brake fully and make sure
the gearshift is secu rely latched in P (Park)
(au tom atic transaxle) or Neutral (manu al
transaxle).
2.
Block the wheels. This will prevent you r
vehicle from moving unexp ected ly.
RWARN ING
Do not start you r engin e with the air
clean er rem oved and do not rem ove it
while the engin e is running.
Opening the Hood

Insid e the vehicle, pull the hood release
hand le located und er the bottom left corner
of the instru ment panel.
Go to the front of the vehicle and release the
au xiliary latch that is located und er the hood
at the center of the vehicle.
Lift the hood and secu re it in the open
position with the prop rod .
When you close the hood , make sure the prop
rod is in its retainer and that the hood latches
secu rely.
