THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING YOUR VEHICLE

Rearming of the System:
During this period , opening any door or the liftgate will
cancel the arm ing process. If the system arm s success-
fully, the Vehicle Security Alarm Ind icator Light will flash
at a slow er rate to ind icate the alarm is set.
If som ething triggers the alarm , and no action is taken to
disarm it, the system will turn off the horn after 3
minu tes, turn off all of the visu al signals after 15 minu tes,
and then the system will rearm itself.

NOTE: For added security, whenever the Security
Alarm is arm ed, the HomeLink/ Garage Door Opener
(if equ ipped) is disabled as well.
To Arm the System:
1.
Remove the key from the ignition switch and exit the
vehicle.
To Disarm the System:
Either press the Unlock button on the RKE transm itter or
insert a valid sentry key into the ignition lock cylind er
and turn the key to the ON position.

lock switch or the Lock button on the Remote Keyless
Entry (RKE) transm itter.
Lock the doors and liftgate by pressing the power door
NOTE:
NOTE: The system will not arm if you lock the doors
with the manu al door lock plungers or the driver’s door
lock cylind er.

Unlocking the doors with the manu al door lock plung-
ers or the driver’s door lock cylind er will not disarm
the system .
3.
Light in the instru ment cluster will flash rap idly for
abou t 16 second s to signal that the system is arm ing.
Close all doors. The Vehicle Security Alarm Ind icator
•
When the system is arm ed, the interior power door
lock switches will not unlock the doors.
