Turn the ignition to the LOCK position.
CAUTIO N!
WARN ING!
The winch mechanism is design ed for use with the
jack exten sion tube only. Use of an air wren ch or
oth er power tools is not recom mended and they can
damage the winch.
Do not attem pt to change a tire on the sid e of the
veh icle close to movin g traffic. Pull far enough off
the road to avoid bein g hit when operatin g the jack
or changin g the wheel.
When the spare is clear, tilt the retainer at the end of the
cable, and pull it throu gh the center of the wheel.

Turn on the Hazard Warning Flasher.
Block both the front and rear 6
of the wheel diagonally oppo-
site of the jacking position.
For exam ple, if changing the
right front tire, block the left
rear wheel.
Preparations For Jacking

Park the vehicle on a firm level surface as far from the
edge of the road way as possible. Avoid icy or slippery
areas.

Set the park ing brak e and place the gear selector in
PARK (autom atic transm ission) or REVERSE (manu al
transm ission).
