Here are som e sim ple step s you can tak e to minimize
the risk of harm from a deployin g airb ag.

Child ren 12 years old and und er shou ld alw ays rid e
buckled up in the rear seat.
You shou ld read the instru ctions provid ed with you r
child restraint to make sure that you are using it prop erly.
Infants in rear facing child restraints shou ld NEVER rid e
in the front seat of a vehicle with a passenger front airbag.
An airbag deploym ent could cause severe injury or death
to infants in that position.
2. All occupants shou ld use their lap and shou lder belts
prop erly.
Child ren that are not big enou gh to wear the vehicle seat
belt prop erly shou ld be secured in the rear seat in child
restraints or belt-p ositioning booster seats. Old er chil-
dren who do not use child restraints or belt-p ositioning
