THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING YOUR VEHICLE

Test the featu re from outsid e the vehicle by pressing
To Lock the Doors and Liftgate:
the Lock and Unlock buttons on the transm itter.
Press and release the Lock button on the transm itter to
lock all doors and the liftgate. The turn signal lights will
flash and the horn will chirp to acknow ledge the lock
signal.

Repeat these step s if you want to retu rn this featu re to
its previou s setting.
NOTE: Pressing the Lock button on the transm itter
while you are insid e the vehicle will activate the Security
Alarm . Opening a door with the Security Alarm activated
will cause the alarm to sou nd . Press the Unlock button to
deactivate the Security Alarm .
Sou nd Horn with Lock
This featu re will cause the horn to chirp when the doors
are locked with the transm itter. This featu re can be
turned on or turned off. To change the current setting,
proceed as follow s:

Inform ation Center (EVIC), refer to “Sound Horn with
Remote Key Lock,” und er “Personal Settings (Cus-
tom er Program mable Featu res),” und er “Electronic
Vehicle Inform ation Center (EVIC)” in Section 4 of this
manu al.
This featu re activates the head lights for up to 90 second s
when the doors are unlocked with the transm itter. The
time for this featu re is program mable on vehicles
equ ipped with the Electronic Vehicle Inform ation Center
(EVIC). For details, refer to “Illu mination Approach,”
und er “Personal Settings (Custom er Program mable Fea-
tures),” und er “Electronic Vehicle Inform ation Center
(EVIC)” in Section 4 of this manu al.
