Most of the time, when in Autom atic Operation, you
can tem porarily put the system into Recircu lation
Mod e by pressing the Recircu lation Button. However,
und er certain cond itions, while in Autom atic Mod e,
the system is blow ing air out the defrost vents. When
these cond itions are present, and the Recircu lation
Button is pressed , the ind icator will flash and then
turn off. This tells you that you are unable to go into
recircu lation mode at this time. If you would like the
system to go into Recircu lation Mod e, you must first
move the Mod e Knob to Panel, Panel/ Floor and then
press the Recircu lation Button. This featu re red uces
the possibility of wind ow fogging.
Summer Operation

must be protected with a high-qu ality antifreeze coolant
to provid e prop er corrosion protection and to protect
against engine overheating. A 50% solu tion of ethylene
glycol antifreeze coolant in water is recom mend ed. Refer
to “Maintenance Proced ures” in Section 7 of this manu al
for prop er coolant selection.
Win ter Operation
Use of the air Recircu lation mode during winter months
is not recom mend ed becau se it may cause wind ow
fogging.
