To minim ize the possibility of catalytic converter dam-
age:
Crankcase Emission Control System
Prop er operation of this system depend s on freed om
from sticking or plugging due to deposits. As vehicle
mileage builds up, the PCV valve and passages may
accumulate deposits. If a valve is not working prop erly,
rep lace it with a new valve. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO
CLEAN THE OLD PCV VALVE!

Do not shu t off the engine or interru pt the ignition
when the transm ission is in gear and the vehicle is in
motion.

Do not try to start the engine by pushing or tow ing the
vehicle.
Check ventilation hose for ind ication of damage or
plugging deposits. Replace if necessary.
Do not idle the engine with any ignition coil connec-
tors disconnected for prolonged period s.
Maintenance-Free Battery
Do not idle the engine for prolonged period s during
very rou gh idle or malfunctioning operating cond i-
tions.
Your vehicle is equ ipped with a maintenance-free battery.
You will never have to add water, nor is period ic main- 7
tenance requ ired .

Do not allow vehicle to run out of fuel.
