MAINTAINING YOUR VEHICLE
Operation of the wipers on dry glass for long period s
may cause deterioration of the wiper blad es. Alw ays use
washer fluid when using the wipers to rem ove salt or dirt
from a dry wind shield .
Windshield & Rear Window Washers
The wind shield and rear wind ow washers share the sam e
fluid reservoir. The fluid reservoir is located in the front
of the engine compartm ent. Be sure to check the fluid
level in the reservoir at regu lar intervals. Fill the reservoir
with wind shield washer solvent (not rad iator antifreeze)
and operate the system for a few second s to flush out the
resid ual water.
Avoid using the wiper blad es to rem ove frost or ice from
the wind shield . Make sure that they are not frozen to the
glass before turning them on to avoid damaging the
blad e.
When refilling the washer fluid reservoir, take som e
washer fluid and apply it to a cloth or tow el and wipe
clean the wiper blad es, this will help blad e perform ance.
Keep the blad e rubber out of contact with petroleu m
prod ucts such as engine oil, gasoline, etc.
NOTE: Alw ays refer to the wiper blad e packaging for
specific installation instru ctions. Many wiper blad e re-
placem ents fit multiple vehicles.
To prevent freeze-u p of you r wind shield washer system
in cold weather, select a solu tion or mixtu re that meets or
exceed s the tem peratu re range of you r climate. This
rating inform ation can be found on most washer fluid
containers.
