INSTRUMENT PANEL AND CONTROLS
The operator can overrid e the AUTO mode setting to
change airflow distribu tion by rotating the Mod e Control
knob (on the right) to one of the follow ing positions.
• Floor Air is directed throu gh the floor outlets with a
small amount flowing throu gh the defrost and
side wind ow demist outlets.
•
Panel
Air is directed throu gh the outlets in the instru -
ment panel. These outlets can be adjusted to
direct airflow.
• Mix
Air is directed throu gh the floor, defrost, and
side wind ow demist outlets. This setting works
best in cold or snow y cond itions that requ ire
extra heat to the wind shield . This setting is good for
maintaining comfort while red ucing moistu re on the
wind shield .
NOTE: The center instru ment panel outlets can be
aimed so that they are directed tow ard the rear seat
passengers for maxim um airflow to the rear.

Bi-Level
Air is directed throu gh the panel and floor out-
lets.
•
Defrost
Air is directed throu gh the wind shield and side
wind ow demist outlets. Use this mode with
maxim um blow er and tem peratu re settings for best
wind shield and side wind ow defrosting.
NOTE: For all settings excep t full cold or full hot, there
is a difference in tem peratu re betw een the upper and
lower outlets. The warm er air flows to the floor outlets.
This featu re gives improved comfort during sunny but
cool cond itions.
