THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING YOUR VEHICLE
How To Use Remote Start
All of the follow ing cond itions must be met before the
engine will rem ote start:
To Enter Rem ote Start Mode
Press and release the Remote Start button on
the RKE transm itter twice. The engine will start
and the vehicle will rem ain in the Remote Start
mode for a 15-minu te cycle.

Gear selector lever in “P” (Park).
Doors closed .

Hood closed .
Liftgate closed .
the vehicle is in the Remote Start mode.
Hazard switch off.

The engine can be started two consecu tive times (two
15-minu te cycles) with the RKE transm itter. However,
the ignition switch must be cycled to the ON position
before you can rep eat the start sequ ence for a third
cycle.
Brake switch inactive (brake pedal not pressed ).
Ignition key rem oved from ignition switch.
Battery at an accep table charge level.
RKE Panic button not pressed .
To Exit Rem ote Start Mode with out Drivin g the
Vehicle
Allow the engine to run for the entire 15-minu te cycle.
