NOTE: Magnetic materials shou ld be kep t away from
the top of the right rear quarter wind ow. This is where
the compass sensor is located .
NOTE: The vehicle speed must be at 0 mph (0 km/ h)
(manu al transm ission) or the gear selector lever in “P”
(Park) (auto transm ission) to enter the variance setting
mode.

To set the variance, first, turn the ignition switch to the
ON position. Next, press and hold the trip odometer
button until the current variance zone nu mber displays
(approxim ately ten second s). Then, press and release the
button to increm ent the variance valu e by one, until the
prop er variance zone is selected accord ing to the map.
Finally, turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position to
exit this mode.
