The Passen ger Airb ag Disab le (PAD) Indicator Ligh t
(an amber light located in the center of the instru ment
panel) tells the driver and front passenger when the
front passenger airbag is turned off. The “PAD Ind i-
cator Light” illuminates the word s ЉPASS AIR BAG
OFFЉ to show that the passenger airbag will not inflate
during a collision requ iring airbags. When the front
passenger seat is empty or when very light objects are
placed on the seat, the passenger airbag will not inflate
even thou gh the “PAD Ind icator Light” is not illumi-
nated .

Indicator Ligh t Location
The “PAD Ind icator Light” shou ld not be illuminated
when an adult passenger is prop erly seated in the
front passenger seat. In this case, the airbag is read y to
be inflated if a collision requ iring an airbag occurs. For
all other occupants, the “PAD Ind icator Light” will be
illuminated ind icating that the front passenger airbag
