STARTING AND OPERATING

For vehicles equ ipped with an autom atic transm ission,
the HSA will work in reverse gear and all forw ard
gears. The system will not activate if the transm ission
is in “P” (Park).
WARN ING!
There may be situ ation s where the HSA (Hill Start
Assist) will not activate and sligh t rollin g may occur,
such as on minor hills (i.e., less than 7%), or with a
load ed veh icle, or while pullin g a trailer. HSA is not
a substitu te for active drivin g involvem ent. It is
alw ays the driver ’s resp onsib ility to be atten tive to
distan ce to oth er veh icles, peop le, and objects, and
most importan tly brak e operation to ensure safe
operation of the veh icle under all road condition s.
Your complete atten tion is alw ays req uired while
drivin g to main tain safe control of you r veh icle.
Failu re to follow these warn ings can resu lt in an
accid ent or seriou s person al injury.

HSA will work in reverse gear, neu tral, and all forw ard
gears.
Towing with HSA
HSA will provid e assistance during acceleration on an
incline while tow ing a trailer.
