All seating positions in you r vehicle have combination
lap/ shou lder belts. The belt webbing retractor is de-
signed to lock during very sudden stop s or collisions.
This featu re allow s the shou lder part of the belt to move
freely with you und er norm al cond itions. However, in a
collision, the belt will lock and red uce you r risk of
striking the insid e of the vehicle or being throw n out.
