STARTING AND OPERATING
Press the “Hill Descent” button. The “Hill
Descent Control Ind icator” light in the instru -
ment cluster will turn on solid .
The ESP uses sensors in the vehicle to determ ine the path
that the driver intend s to steer the vehicle and compares
it to the actu al path of the vehicle. When the actu al path
does not match the intend ed path, the ESP applies the
brake of the approp riate wheel to assist in counteracting
the cond ition of oversteer or und ersteer.
NOTE: If the transfer case is not in 4WD low range, the
“Hill Descent Control Ind icator” light will flash for 5
second s and HDC will not be enabled .

ESP (Electronic Stability Program)
The ЉESP/ TCS Ind icator” light located in the
instru ment cluster, starts to flash as soon as the
tires lose traction and the ESP system becom es
active. The ЉESP/ TCS Ind icator” light also
flashes when TCS is active. If the ЉESP/ TCS Ind icator”
light begins to flash during acceleration, ease up on the

rects for oversteering and und ersteering the vehicle by

power may also be red uced to help the vehicle maintain
the desired path.
