cluster comes on when the ignition switch is turned to the
“ON ” position. It shou ld go out with the engine running.
If the “ESP/ BAS Warning Lamp” comes on continu ously
with the engine running, a malfunction has been detected
in either the ESP or the BAS system , or both. If this light
rem ains on after the several ignition cycles, and the
vehicle has been driven several miles at speed s greater
than 30 mph (48 km/ h), see you r authorized dealer as
soon as possible to have the problem diagnosed and
corrected .(See page 314 for more inform ation.)

SERV (Service) 4WD Indica tor Light — If Equipped
The “SERV 4WD Ind icator Light” will turn on
when the ignition key is turned to the ON
position and it will stay on for 2 second s. If the
light stays on or turns on during driving, it 4
means that the 4WD system is not functioning prop erly
and that service is requ ired .

Coola nt Temperature Warning Light
NOTE: The “ESP/ BAS Warning Lamp” comes on mo-
mentarily each time the ignition switch is turned ON.
This light warns of an overheated engine cond i-
tion. If the light turns on while driving, safely pull
over and stop the vehicle. If the air cond itioner is
NOTE: Each time the ignition switch is turned ON, the
ESP System will be ON even if it was turned off previ-
ously.

(Neutral) and idle the vehicle. If the tem peratu re read ing
does not retu rn to norm al, turn the engine off immedi-

NOTE: The ESP Control System will make buzzing or
clicking sou nd s when it is active. This is norm al; the
