V F-DEF (Fron t defrost)
Press the V F-DEF (front defrost) bu tton to
obtain maxim um airflow to the wind shield .
Ad just the tem peratu re setting as requ ired for
defrosting. The Disp lay wind ow will show the
tem peratu re setting with V to the right of the
tem peratu re. When the outsid e tem peratu re is
abou t 50˚F (10˚C) and above, the air will be
dehu midified to rem ove moistu re. This will help
prevent fogging in hu mid weather.
OUTSIDE TEMP but ton
When this bu tton is pressed , the tem peratu re of
the air outsid e of the vehicle will show in the
display wind ow . If the EATC is off, the display
will go blank after 4 second s. If the EATC is on,
the outsid e tem peratu re will be show n until the
OUTSIDE Temp bu tton is pressed a second tim e
or another overrid e bu tton is pressed .
NOTE: The outsid e tem peratu re read ing is
most accurate when the veh icle is
movin g. High er read ings may be
obtain ed when the veh icle is not
movin g. The read ings that you get may
not agree with tem peratu res given on
the rad io due to differen ces in veh icle
and station location s.
Service
If you r EATC is not operating as described here,
take it to you r dealer to have it checked . System
diagnostics are bu ilt in which will allow you r
dealer to read ily identify problem s that might
occur.
