Exhaust leak s may resu lt in the entry of

the passen ger compartm ent. Under
extrem e condition s excessive exhaust
tem peratu res could damage the fuel
system , the interior floor coverin g, or
oth er veh icle components, possib ly
causin g a fire.
To make sure that the catalytic converter and the
other emission control parts continu e to work
prop erly:
❑Use only unlead ed fuel.
❑Avoid ru nning ou t of fuel.

Do not tu rn off the ignition while you r
vehicle is moving, esp ecially at high speed s.

Have the services listed in you r Maintenance
Schedule and Record booklet perform ed
accord ing to the specified sched ule.
The Sched uled Maintenance Services listed in the
Maintenance Schedule and Record booklet are
requ ired becau se they are consid ered essential to
the life and perform ance of you r vehicle and to
its emissions system .
Ford strongly recom mend s the use of genu ine
Ford rep lacem ent parts. If other than Ford or
Motorcraft parts or Ford au thorized
rem anu factu red parts are used for maintenance
rep lacem ents or for the service of com ponents
affecting emission control, such non-Ford parts
