How to insert a tape
Your cassette player is equ ipped with pow er
load ing. Once you insert a tap e and push
slightly (with the open edge to the righ t), the
load ing mechanism draw s the tap e the rest of
the way in and play will begin after a
mom entary tap e tightening process. Disp lay
ind icates “TAPE” while tap e is playing. If the
“TAPE” bu tton is pressed when the cassette tap e
player is empty, “N O” and “TAPE” will flash in
the display and rad io play will continu e.
NOTE: A cassette tap e can be load ed with the
ign ition on wheth er the rad io is on or
off. However, if the rad io is off, the
cassette tap e will be load ed and stored .
How to loca te a desired select ion on the
tape
There are fou r ways to qu ickly locate a desired
selection on the tap e. You can use the fast
forw ard , rew ind , “SEEK” or “SCAN ” function.
Follow ing are brief descrip tions of each.
❑Fast forw ard ing the tap e
To fast forw ard the tap e, press the “FF”
bu tton. The rad io will au tom atically begin
playing until fast forw ard is manu ally
stop ped (by pressing the “TAPE”, “EJ”,
“REW” or “FF” bu tton) or the end of the
tap e is reached . The display will show a
flashing X to ind icate fast forw ard .
At the end of the tap e, the direction
au tom atically reverses and plays the other
sid e of the tap e.
