If you r gearshift is on the console, you can use
any of the follow ing positions:
The console-m ounted gearsh ift
The console-m ounted gearshift will lock when
you tu rn the key to the LOCK position. When
the gearshift is in any position excep t P (Park),
the ignition key cannot be tu rned to LOCK or
rem oved from the steering colu mn. TO
REMOVE THE KEY, the gearshift lever must be
in P (Park).
Once the gearshift is secu re in the desired
position, release the brake pedal and use the
accelerator as necessary.
R (Reverse)
With the gearshift in the R (Reverse) position,
the vehicle will move backw ard . You shou ld
alw ays com e to a com plete stop before shifting
into or ou t of R (Reverse).
