Before you exp ort you r vehicle to a foreign
cou ntry, contact the ap prop riate foreign embassy
or consu late to make sure local regu lations do
not prevent you from registering you r vehicle.
Officials at the embassy can also help you decid e
whether you shou ld import you r vehicle to that
cou ntry.
Officials at the embassy or consu late can tell you
where to get unlead ed fuel. If you cannot get
unlead ed fuel or can get only fuel with an
anti-knock ind ex that is low er than you r vehicle
need s, contact a district or ow ner relations office
before you leave the U.S. or Canad a.
Use of lead ed fuel in you r vehicle withou t a
prop er conversion may dam age the effectiveness
of you r emissions control system and may cau se
engine knocking or seriou s engine dam age. Ford
Motor Com pany is not resp onsible for any
dam age that is cau sed by use of improp er fuel.
You may also have difficulty importing you r
vehicle back into the U.S. if you use lead ed fuel.
