Air Filter
To rep lace the engine air filter, unclip the tw o
latches, sep arate the hou sing and rem ove the old
filter. Wip e the interior of the hou sing clean
before inserting the new filter. Lock the tw o
latches.
NOTE: Do not use oil-im pregn ated air filters.

this Owner Guide can cause engin e
damage. Your warran ties may not
apply if you r veh icle is damaged
becau se you used the wron g air filter.

Autom atic Tran saxle Fluid
Und er norm al circu mstances, you do not need to
check the fluid level of the transaxle, since you r
vehicle does not use up transaxle fluid. Refer to
the Maintenance Schedule and Record booklet for
rep lacem ent intervals. How ever, if the transaxle
is not working prop erly — for instance, the
transaxle may slip or shift slow ly, or you may
notice som e sign of fluid leakage — the fluid
level shou ld be checked .
Checking the Autom atic Tran saxle Fluid
With the vehicle on a level surface and the brake
pedal fully ap plied , start the engine and move
the gearshift selector throu gh all of the gears.
Allow sufficient tim e for each position to engage.
Securely latch the gearshift selector in the P
(Park) position. Fully set the parking brake and
leave the engine ru nning.
Wip e off the dipstick cap and pull the dipstick
out. Wip e the ind icator end clean. Pu t the
dipstick back into the filler tu be and make sure
it is fully seated . Pu ll the dipstick out and read
the fluid level.
