It is extrem ely dangerou s to rid e in a
cargo area, insid e or outsid e of a veh icle.
In a collision , peop le rid ing in these areas
are more lik ely to be seriou sly injured or
killed . Do not allow peop le to rid e in any
area of you r veh icle that is not equipped
with seats and safety belts. Be sure
everyon e in you r veh icle is in a seat and
usin g a safety belt prop erly.
RWARN ING
Make sure that you and you r passen gers
wear safety belts. Alw ays drive and rid e
with you r seatb ack uprigh t and the lap
belt snug and low across the hips.

Never wear the shoulder belt under the
arm . Never swing it arou nd the neck over
the insid e shoulder. Never use a sin gle
belt for more than one person or across
more than one seatin g position . Each
seatin g position in you r veh icle has a
specific safety belt assem bly which is
made up of one buckle and one ton gue
that are design ed to be used as a pair.
Failu re to follow these precau tion s could
increase the risk and/or severity of injury
in a collision .
