How to Operate the Ford 6-CD Changer
Usin g the Con trols on the Rad io
If you r vehicle is equ ipped with the Ford 6-CD
Changer System , you can operate it throu gh the
controls of you r au dio system .
Several of the controls on the rad io operate in
the sam e manner in CD mod e as they do in
rad io or cassette mod e: tu rning the pow er on,
volu me control and ad justing the bass, treble,
speaker balance or fad e.
How to begin CD Cha nger pla y
NOTE: Rad io power must be on to operate the
Com pact Disc Changer.
Pu sh the “CD” bu tton to begin CD play. If the
disc magazine has just been installed , the CD
Changer will au tom atically begin playing the
first track (selection) of the first disc load ed in
the unit. After that, the CD Changer will start
on the disc and track where it was stop ped. The
display will ind icate “CD-##” for disc nu mber,
then display “TR-##” for track nu mber, then
“DD-TT” for disc nu mber and track nu mber.
If the CD Changer is empty, “N O” and “CD”
will flash in the display and rad io play will
continu e.
How to cha nge the disc being pla yed
When in the CD mod e, you can change discs by
pressing the right (a) sid e of the “TUN E/ DISC”
bu tton (to select the next disc) or the left (b)
sid e of the “TUN E/ DISC” bu tton (to select the
previou s disc). Play will begin on the first track
of the selected disc.
