When one of the front wheels is off the grou nd ,
the transaxle alone will not prevent the vehicle
from moving or slip ping off the jack, even if the
vehicle is in P (Park). To prevent the vehicle
from moving when you change a tire, block (in
both directions) the wheel that is diagonally
opposite to the tire being changed .
RWARN ING
If the veh icle slip s off the jack , you or
som eon e else could be seriou sly injured .

Get ou t the spare tire and jack.

To avoid injury, never run the engin e
with one wheel off the grou nd, such as
when changin g a tire.

Remove wheel covers or alu minu m wheel
ornam ents with the tap ered end of a wheel
nu t wrench. Insert the hand le of the wrench
betw een the wheel and ornam ent and tw ist
it against the inner wheel cover flange.
Loosen each wheel lug nu t one-half tu rn
counterclockw ise, bu t do not rem ove them
until the tire is raised off the grou nd . You
shou ld pull up on the hand le rather than
push to develop maxim um force to loosen
wheel lug nu ts. See Anti-Theft Wheel Lug
