If you r engine coolant overheats:

Pu ll off the road as soon as safely possible.
Turn off the engine.
Let the engine cool.
Check the coolant level follow ing the
instru ctions on checking and ad ding coolant
to you r engine, see Engine Coolant in the
Ind ex. If you do not follow these
instru ctions, you or others could be inju red .
If the coolant continu es to overheat, have the
cooling system serviced .
