Vert ica l aim adjust ment

With the hood open, locate the bu bble level
vertical aim ind icator. It is visible when
view ed from above and to the rear of the
head lam p.
2.
With the vehicle on a level surface, use a
4mm wrench to tu rn the vertical aim
ad justm ent screw (outboard screw ) located
on the back of the lam p assem bly clockw ise
or counterclockw ise until the bu bble in the
spirit level is centered when view ed from
directly above the bu bble.
3.
Close the hood .
If the vehicle is on a dow nw ard or upward
slop e of not more than 1.2˚, the VHAD’s bu bble
level can be used to correct for the effects of the
surface slop e, provid ed that the slop e is
accu rately know n.
Each grad uation of the bu bble level rep resents
0.19˚
of dow nw ard or upward slop e. To correct
for the effects of a surface slop e, tu rn the
vertical aim ad justm ent screw until the bu bble is
centered at a position corresp ond ing to the slop e
of the surface.
Each 0.1 inch difference in surface height
betw een the front and the rear wheels
corresp ond s to 0.053˚ of surface slop e; each 0.19˚
of surface slop e corresp ond s to 0.36 inches
difference in surface height betw een the front
and rear wheels.
