Duratec   and  3.4L SHO:

Check  the   fluid  level  in  the  pow er  steering
fluid  reservoir.    The  fluid  level  shou ld  be
betw een  the  MIN   and  MAX  lines  on  the  sid e
of  the  reservoir.

If the   pow er  steering   fluid  is  below   the  MIN
mark,   ad d fluid   in  small  am ounts  until   the
level  is  betw een  the  MIN  and   MAX  lines  on
the  sid e of  the  reservoir.
Reservoir   for  power   steerin g  flu id (3.0L  Duratec  and   3.4L
SHO)
Use  only  Merconă   ATF  pow er  steering   fluid.
If the   pow er  steering   fluid  is  low , do  not   drive
you r  vehicle  for  a  long  period   of  tim e before
ad ding  fluid.   This  can  dam age  the  pow er
steering   pump.
