The engin e coolan t reservoir (3.0L Vulcan shown — 3.0L
Duratec and 3.4L SHO sim ilar)
The coolant level in the reservoir shou ld be
maintained within the cold fill range.
There may be a low coolant warning light in the
instru ment cluster which will light when the
coolant level is low .
Checking Hoses
Insp ect all engine and heater system hoses and
hose connections for deterioration, leaks, and
loose hose clam ps as specified in the Maintenance
Schedule and Record booklet. Repair or rep lace
with Motorcraft hoses or equ ivalent as necessary.
Adding Engin e Coolan t
RWARN ING
Do not put engin e coolan t in the contain er
for the windshield wash er flu id.
If sprayed to clean the glass, engine coolant or
antifreeze could make it difficult to see throu gh
the wind shield .
