If you use a tethered safety seat on one of the
rear seats, you can anchor the strap to the
ap prop riate tether anchor directly behind that
seat position.
Teth er anchorage hard ware
Attachm ent holes (at each rear outboard seating
position) have been provid ed in you r vehicle to
attach anchor hard ware, if requ ired . Kits can be
obtained at no charge from any Ford or
Lincoln-Mercu ry dealer.
Be sure to follow the child safety seat
manu factu rer’s instru ctions.
RWARN ING
Tigh ten the anchor accord ing to
specification s. Otherw ise, the safety seat
may not be prop erly secu red and the child
may be injured in a sudden stop or
collision .
In a station wagon, you sim ply attach the tether
strap to one of the anchors that are alread y
installed for you .

All wagons have a tether anchor installed for
each of the second row seating positions.
