Autom atic overd rive tran saxle flu id dipstick
NOTE: Your veh icle should not be driven until
som e flu id has been added if the flu id
level is below the bottom hole on the
dipstick and the outsid e tem peratu re is
above 50˚F (10˚C). Add only enough
flu id to brin g the level above the
bottom hole.
If the vehicle has not been driven and the fluid
level is above the bottom hole on the dipstick,
do not ad d fluid. Recheck the fluid level after
you r vehicle has reached norm al operating
tem peratu re.
Norm al operating tem peratu re is reached after
driving ap proxim ately 20 miles (30 km ). The
fluid level shou ld be within the crosshatched
area on the dipstick.
NOTE: If the veh icle has been operated for an
exten ded period at high speed s, driven
in city traffic durin g hot weath er, or
has been pullin g a trailer, the veh icle
should be turned off for about 30
minutes to allow the flu id to cool
before checking.
