Your vehicle has metric (12 mm) wheel stu ds
and lug nu ts. Du ring wheel rem oval and
rep lacem ent, make certain that you use the sam e
lug nu ts to reinstall the wheel or rep lace them
with nu ts of the sam e metric size and thread ing.
RWARN ING
Installation of an English thread nut on a
metric stu d (or vice-versa) will not
prop erly secu re the wheel to the hub.
Damaged stu ds may resu lt in wheel
sep aration and possib le injury.

Replace the flat tire with the spare tire,
making sure that the air valve stem is facing
ou tw ard .
Reinstall the lug nu ts, tightening until the
wheel is snu g against the hu b. The beveled
edges on the lug nu ts face inw ard . Do not
fully tighten the lug nu ts until you low er the
vehicle. If you do, you could force the
vehicle off the jack.

Low er the vehicle by tu rning the jack hand le
counterclockw ise.
Remove the jack and fully tighten the lug
nu ts in the ord er show n in the follow ing
illustration. As soon as possible, have you r
dealer or a qu alified service technician check
the lug nu ts for prop er torqu e specifications.
